Here’s our programme for Aug to Oct 2018
Like last year, at this historic site at St Benet’s we’ll be mowing and raking the meadow between the gatehouse and the river. Some of us (you know who you are) will start mowing at 9am to give the rakers something to work on but there will be work for scythers too. Brambles will also need to be cut back. The ground beneath the grass is quite irregular but dry and there are no other potential hazards. However, unlike most of our venues the public has access so please be aware when working.
Meet at 9.30am Acle Library for car share or 10am on site.
Directions:
From Horning: A1062. Just after Ludham Bridge, Dog Inn on the right. Immediately find and take Hall Rd on the right. After about a mile take a single track signed to St Benet’s. There is a car park at the end on the left.
From Acle: A1064, B1152 towards Potter H, A149, turn hard left in Potter on A1062, in Ludham turn left just before the church, after 1/2 mile turn right into Hall Common Rd, after 1/4 mile turn down track to St Benet’s, car park at the end on the left.
