BVCG Task Programme – Aug-Oct 17 pdf
This Wednesday we’re playing host to our sister group, Gaywood Valley Conservation Group, for a tour of our work at Roman Wood and Damgate Wood.

Meet at Acle Library, Bridewell Lane, Acle, Norwich NR13 3RA, at 10.30am. Please note – 1 hour later than usual!

We’ll take a circular walk round the two woods (via Weavers Way) to show the Gaywood group our achievements, such as hedgelaying, path creation, coppicing, meadow management etc. We might even spot some wildlife!

Tea break will be early on – in Roman Wood clearing.

We’ll walk back to Acle Library to pick up cars, then drive over to the White Horse at Upton for 1pm. Pub address is 17 Chapel Road, Upton, Norwich NR13 6BT.

Please note we’ll be walking along a small section of the Weavers Way which could be soggy underfoot, so sturdy shoes or boots are advisable. Please be aware that we’ll need to cross the A47 Acle Straight to get from one wood to the other, which is a busy road. Total walk approximately 2 miles.

There are toilets in Acle.
